Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Thanks for using Watson.
This Privacy Policy explains how Watson Labs, Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Watson Platform, our websites, including withwatson.co and clients.tools, and any related products, services, applications, integrations, APIs, tools, or features we provide.
When we say “Watson,” “Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us,” we mean Watson Labs, Inc., a Delaware corporation.
When we say “Services,” we mean Watson Platform and the related websites, products, services, tools, and features we provide.
When we say “you” or “your,” we mean the person, company, organization, or other legal entity using the Services.
This Privacy Policy is meant to be readable. Privacy policies that sound like they were assembled in a dungeon by twelve attorneys and a cursed thesaurus do not help anyone.
What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy covers information we collect when you:
- visit our websites;
- create or use a Watson account;
- create, join, or administer an organization in Watson;
- upload, import, create, or store content in Watson;
- connect integrations or third-party services;
- communicate with us;
- pay for the Services;
- use Watson features and integrations.
This Privacy Policy does not cover third-party services that we do not control, even if they connect to Watson. For example, Stripe has its own privacy practices.
Information We Collect
We collect information in a few basic ways: information you give us, information created when you use Watson, information from integrations, and information from service providers.
Account Information
We may collect information such as:
- name;
- email address;
- login credentials or authentication information;
- profile details;
- avatar or profile image;
- organization name;
- role, title, team, or workspace information;
- account settings;
- communication preferences.
A user owns their own profile. A user may also create, own, or administer an organization.
Organization and Workspace Information
If you create, join, or use an organization in Watson, we may collect information about that organization, including:
- organization name;
- members, roles, and permissions;
- workspace settings;
- billing status;
- usage levels;
- invitations;
- audit, security, and activity records;
- organization content and metadata.
Organization owners and admins may be able to access, manage, export, delete, or restrict content and activity within that organization.
Uploaded and Created Content
Watson is built to help people and organizations manage creative work and business workflows. That means you may upload or create content inside Watson.
This may include:
- files;
- notes;
- messages;
- records;
- client information;
- rosters;
- contacts;
- creative assets;
- project information;
- business documents;
- metadata;
- comments;
- imports from connected tools;
- any other content you choose to provide.
We refer to this as “Your Content.”
You are responsible for what you upload and for making sure you have the rights and permissions needed to use that content in Watson.
Payment and Billing Information
We use Stripe for payment processing.
We may receive and store billing-related information such as:
- plan;
- billing email;
- payment status;
- invoice history;
- subscription status;
- usage-based billing information;
- billing address;
- tax information;
- partial payment card details, such as brand and last four digits.
We do not need your full payment card number to run Watson. Stripe handles payment card processing.
Usage, Device, and Log Information
When you use the Services, we may collect information such as:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type;
- operating system;
- pages viewed;
- features used;
- referring pages;
- timestamps;
- session activity;
- approximate location based on IP address;
- error logs;
- performance data;
- security logs;
- product usage and interaction data.
This helps us operate, secure, debug, and improve Watson.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies to:
- keep you signed in;
- remember preferences;
- understand how people use the Services;
- improve performance;
- measure marketing or product activity;
- protect against fraud and abuse.
Some cookies are necessary for the Services to work. Others may be optional depending on your settings, browser controls, and applicable law.
Communications
If you contact us, we may collect:
- your email address;
- message contents;
- support requests;
- feedback;
- attachments;
- call or meeting notes;
- information needed to respond to you.
If you subscribe to updates or marketing, we may use your contact information to send those communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails.
Integrations and Third-Party Sources
If you connect Watson to another service, we may collect information from that service based on the permissions you grant.
This may include information from tools such as payment providers, business systems, communication tools, storage services, calendars, CRMs, or other integrations we support.
Do not connect a service unless you understand what information may be shared with Watson.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide, maintain, improve, protect, and develop Watson.
That includes using information to:
- create and manage accounts;
- create and manage organizations;
- provide the Services;
- store and display Your Content;
- process payments and usage-based billing;
- provide support;
- communicate with you;
- send product, billing, security, and administrative notices;
- understand how the Services are used;
- improve product quality and user experience;
- debug errors and fix technical issues;
- protect accounts, organizations, users, and the Services;
- detect and respond to fraud, abuse, spam, scraping, security threats, and illegal activity;
- enforce our Terms of Service;

- evaluate, build, and improve product features and analytics;
- create aggregated, de-identified, or otherwise processed insights about use of the Services, creative work, business workflows, and related trends.
Product Improvement and Insights
Watson does not currently use customer content to train or fine-tune AI models, and our service providers do not currently use that content for model training on our behalf. Before introducing a new use of personal information for model training, we will explain the practice and provide any notices, choices, or consent required by applicable law and our agreements. Acceptance of service or early access terms is not consent to such a new use.
Watson may use information associated with the Services to improve the product experience and develop new features.
This may include using account activity, usage patterns, uploaded information, metadata, feedback, and other information associated with the Services to improve Watson and support product features and analytics.
We may create and use aggregated statistics to understand use of the Services and improve Watson. Information remains subject to this policy when it can reasonably be linked to a person or household; removing a name or combining records does not by itself make information anonymous.
If our information practices change, we will update this notice and provide any required notice and choices before the new practice begins.
How We Share Information
We do not share information just for fun. Data confetti is bad business.
We may share information in the following situations.
With Service Providers
We may share information with companies that help us operate Watson, such as:
- hosting providers;
- database and infrastructure providers;
- payment processors, including Stripe;
- email providers;
- analytics providers;
- customer support tools;
- security and monitoring tools;
- storage providers;
- professional advisors;
- vendors that help us run the business.
These providers may process information for us based on the services they provide.
With Organization Owners, Admins, and Members
If you use Watson as part of an organization, information you create, upload, or generate inside that organization may be visible to organization owners, admins, members, or other users based on the organization’s settings and permissions.
Your personal profile is yours, but activity inside an organization may be managed by that organization.
With Integrations You Connect
If you connect a third-party service, we may share information with that service as needed to make the integration work.
For example, if Watson connects to Stripe, information may be exchanged with Stripe to support billing, payments, subscriptions, or related features.
For Legal, Safety, and Security Reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is needed to:
- comply with law or legal process;
- respond to lawful requests;
- protect Watson, users, customers, or the public;
- investigate abuse, fraud, spam, scraping, security threats, or illegal activity;
- enforce our Terms of Service;
- protect rights, property, or safety;
- resolve disputes;
- maintain business, tax, accounting, or compliance records.
In a Business Transfer
If Watson is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Aggregated or De-Identified Information
We may share aggregate product statistics only where they do not identify and cannot reasonably be linked to a person or household. Information that remains identifiable is handled under the personal-information provisions of this policy.
For example, we may publish broad insights about creative businesses, platform usage, industry trends, or workflow patterns.
Selling or Sharing Personal Information
We do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. This statement does not prevent disclosures needed to provide the Services, such as disclosures to service providers or integrations you choose, as described in this policy.
We may use service providers, integrations, cookies, analytics tools, or business partners in ways that may be treated differently under different privacy laws.
If we engage in a practice that requires an opt-out, consent, or other privacy choice under applicable law, we will provide the required control.
Our current use of aggregated information is described above. This policy does not treat future data products or business models as current practices.
Data Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the Services, operate our business, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect the Services, and maintain business records.
Our detailed data retention and deletion policy is still being finalized.
Until that policy is published, different categories of information may be retained for different periods. For example, account content, backups, logs, billing records, analytics records, and security records may follow different retention timelines.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information.
No online service is perfectly secure. If you use Watson, you are making a practical bet that we will take security seriously. We do.
You are responsible for keeping your own account secure, including your login credentials, devices, connected services, and user permissions.
Your Choices
Depending on where you live and how you use Watson, you may have choices or rights related to your information.
These may include the ability to:
- access information;
- correct information;
- delete information;
- export information;
- object to certain processing;
- restrict certain processing;
- opt out of certain data uses;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- appeal a denied privacy request where required by law.
You can contact us at hello@withwatson.co to make a privacy request.
We may need to verify your identity before responding. If your request relates to an organization, we may also need to verify your authority to act for that organization.
Marketing Communications
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or contacting us at hello@withwatson.co.
Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send transactional or administrative messages, such as billing, security, support, and account notices.
Children
Watson is not intended for children under 13.
Do not use Watson if you are under 13. Do not upload personal information about children unless you have the legal right to do so and the use is appropriate for the Services.
If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without proper consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
International Users
Watson Labs, Inc. is based in the United States.
If you use the Services from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate.
Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
When we make significant changes, we will update the date at the top and take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by email, in-product notice, or posting an updated version on our website.
An updated policy explains our practices; continued use does not itself provide consent to new processing. When applicable law requires consent or another choice, we will provide it before beginning the relevant processing.
