Early Access Terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Watson Labs, Inc., referred to as "Watson," "we," or "us." They take effect when you accept them, including if you accept them before creating an account. If you accept on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
These terms cover Watson products, features, and services that we identify as a prototype, alpha, beta, private preview, early access, or another pre-release offering. Early access may apply to the whole product or to an individual feature, and different parts of Watson may be at different stages of development. These terms also cover designated preview features within a generally available Watson product. Accepting them does not enroll you in a particular preview or make generally available features subject to early access conditions.
By accepting, you acknowledge the unfinished nature of products and features in early access and agree to the early access conditions below. Acceptance does not guarantee an invitation, account, or immediate access to a particular service.
1. Software that is still taking shape
Products and features in early access are unfinished. They may contain bugs, produce incorrect or incomplete results, become unavailable, or lose or alter data. Something that works today may work differently or stop working in a later version.
To the extent permitted by law, products and features in early access are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not promise a particular level of reliability, accuracy, compatibility, support, or availability unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. Consider these limitations when deciding how to use the service, review important results, and keep independent copies of information you need.
2. Things can change
We may add, change, limit, replace, pause, or discontinue a product or feature in early access, or change who can access it, at any time. These changes may happen without advance notice, except where notice is required by law or an applicable agreement.
Changes may affect functionality, interfaces, workflows, integrations, and compatibility with earlier versions. They may require you to adjust how you use the service or move information to a different format. We do not commit to maintaining a particular feature, behavior, or version throughout early access.
3. Roadmaps are plans
Roadmaps, demonstrations, release estimates, and discussions of future functionality describe our current plans. Those plans may change. They are not commitments to deliver a feature, meet a release date, or make a product or feature in early access generally available unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
Participation does not guarantee access to future versions or inclusion of a feature in any particular plan.
4. Separate service and payment terms
We may ask you to accept the full Watson Terms of Service or other terms separately when you create an account or access a service. Accepting these early access terms does not, by itself, mean you have accepted those separate terms. If you have already accepted them, they continue to apply.
Accepting these terms does not authorize a charge or change an existing subscription. Early access is not automatically free or paid. Any fees, discounts, or complimentary access must be stated in the offer, plan, or order you accept. Where you have agreed to paid services, those billing, cancellation, and refund terms govern.
When another agreement also applies, these terms supplement it only for the unfinished nature, availability, and changes to products and features in early access. They do not create a separate liability limit or expand our rights to use your content. They do not override applicable privacy or data protection obligations, a specific commitment we make in a signed agreement, or rights that cannot be excluded by law.
5. Ending early access and updating these terms
We may end early access for a feature or for the product, and you may stop participating at any time. If you have a paid subscription, its cancellation and refund terms continue to govern; stopping participation alone does not cancel it.
If a product or feature in early access becomes generally available, further use is subject to the service terms that apply to you at that time. Any additional terms requiring your acceptance will be presented separately.
If we materially change these early access terms, we will notify you and present the revised terms for acceptance before they govern your continued participation. Revisions do not change the terms that governed earlier participation. Product changes described in section 2 do not, by themselves, require a revision to this agreement.
